Soulful Projects

Have been associated in arranging funding, oversight of medical treatment and post medical treatment rehabilitation of individuals suffering from near terminal and other such critical illnesses.

Detailed below are a few of such soulful causes and projects.

Save Bharati (2014-2016)

I had undertaken responsibility of medical treatment and rehabilitation of a young girl suffering from “Pure Red Cell Aplasia”.

This girl came from a very modest family near Pune and has 3 other siblings. The girl had an elder sister and two other younger siblings, brothers.

The girl’s father was a daily labourer (mason) and her mother provided maid and cooking services to a social organisation. However, the entire family had strained relations with the father, who did not financially provide for the family.

The entire treatment and subsequent rehabilitation required funds upwards of ₹15 Lakhs, which the family could not afford. The family did not have anyone guiding them with the entire hospitalisation, treatment and subsequent rehabilitation process.

I came across this case, when the elder sister of the girl approached our community to gather funds and having understood the gravity of the case took up the entire responsibility of the girl’s treatment at the hospital and her subsequent rehabilitation.

I became a father like figure to these girls, also assuming responsibility of providing them with a rented accommodation to stay in our neighbourhood, where they were also guided by an elderly couple who have been providing social services for over 30 years.

I approached my global network of friends and associates as part of the funds gathering exercise, did the liaison with the Doctors and managed the entire process across 18 months.

In the process, I mentored all four children.

Today the girl has completely recovered and completing her final year BSC. The elder sister completed her MA and then post graduated from TISS. Younger brothers did Engineering and BCOM.

The father of children also seeing the change, improved his personality and thereafter assumed responsibility for the affairs of the family.

Heartfelt testimonial by Aarati Sarvade, Bharati’s elder sister

I am Aarati Saravade, coming from rural community of Pune name Sathesai village in Mulshi block. I have done my Masters in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and currently working in a good organisation. The reason of being an independent girl and taking my own decision confidently is the person who played vital role in my journey named Paresh Madani. Without him I couldn’t reach here, and I would like to say to him ‘Thank you for everything’. He is one of the most generous persons and the best father like figure I know.

In 2013, I approached him for the financial help for my sister who was suffering from “Pure Red Cell Aplacia” as we were not able to afford for her treatment cost of which was over ₹ 15 lakh. I was the elder one in my family, so everything I had to handle without any support.

He got personally involved in our case and for 2 years he provided us all kind of support that we required. He personally met the doctor for two years and handled everything very smoothly. He was not only helping me financially but also providing me emotional support. At the time of operation, he came every day to the hospital and spend the whole day with us for 2 months. Those days were very crucial for us but because of him we could overcome from this situation.

He played a role of a father who always stands with his children. That time I was feeling alone and broken from inside, but he always motivated me to go further saying that everything will be fine and that’s the reason I became very strong to face any kind of challenge. He didn’t stop helping us after the operation; he found the house for post treatment nearby his place, so he could help us as much as possible. He took responsibility of providing rent for the accommodation out of the funds gathered, as well as arranged travelling by his own car for over 1 year.

He has done many things for my whole family and we are here only because of him. I learned many things in those 2 years from him. He taught me how to manage in hospital, how to communicate with every stakeholder, how to do financial management, how to greet everyone and so many things. He made me strong from inside and because of that I could do everything very systematically with the right attitude.

After that he took responsibility of my sister and my education. I successfully completed my Masters and my sister is studying in Bsc last year. He guided me for my professional development which helps me to move forward in this era. I got a right direction of my career as well as true paths where I can also support others and contribute to the society.

May he get peace and happiness in his life. I wish that I will serve him at the last breath of my life.

Testimonial by Ms. Sneha Singh Social Volunteer at Child Vision and Education

I have known Mr. Paresh Madani since 2016. He is not only a donor, but a great motivator. Child Vision and Education is an NGO which works with cancer patients as in the area of girl child education. Mr. Madani has not only helped our NGO financially but has also given his precious time to our kids. I want to thank him for the time, attention and dedication he has given to our organisation. He made us believe that we are not alone in the fight against cancer and illiteracy. He is a person who is as much beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside. He has always been a great supporter and a giver in terms of his kindness, knowledge and love. He has made a beautiful impact on my life in terms of spirituality and has also taught some very important life lessons. He has made me believe how important it is to just breathe and survive and never give up, no matter how difficult a situation comes our way. It has been my great pleasure to be associated with him. I wish him all the success and good health. Thank you.
